BOUNCY, BOUNCY, BOUNCY

She's finally fitting better in the bouncy exersaucer thing. No more stuffing blankets around her she sits up just fine on her own.

HOUSE FULL OF SICK

Now Chris and I've got it. I was so good all weekend about washing my hands and using Purell constantly. I probably got the germ before Violet even showed any signs of being sick. Chris is about a day behind me in symptoms and he got it because Violet sneezed in his face. Except for the 24hr vomit fest I had at Xmas I haven't been sick in over a year, so it's hitting me kinda hard.
Here's a pic of more looking at books.

95% DONE

We're really close to being done with the deck. We have one set of steps we still need to do. We need to pour a concrete base for that and it's so hot and nasty we're gonna wait till it cools off. So in the mean time I've been staining the deck early in the morning on the weekends. I've been starting at 6:15. The sun is barely up and the temperature isn't to bad. As you can see from the pic I've got the railing done and I'm working on the lattice along the bottom. Of course we still need to add the lattice along the rest of the bottom. We may not get the pergola stained this summer. It's made of pressure treated lumber and technically you're supposed to wait 6 months before staining so it can dry out. That would mean we could stain it in December. So it may look a little odd and I'm sure our neighbors will wonder why we didn't finish.

CHILLIN' IN MY JAMMIES

Feeling much better today. Still a little congested but no runny nose or drooling or teary eyes.

SICKY

This was taken right before nap time. This is the worst she's been all day. Her new thing is to blow bubbles with her mouth. But blowing bubbles and having a runny nose has left her a sloppy wet mess all day.

FIRST COLD

Ugh! I guess we should be happy that she's gone 5 months without getting sick. I was anticipating a cold the first week of school but she made it 2 months and that's pretty good.
Last night she tossed and turned a lot and I couldn't figure out what was wrong until she got up this morning, then I knew. She isn't too cranky or fussy, just really snotty and drooly and sleeping longer. You can tell by the photo that she just doesn't feel good. If it has to happen it's best it does over the weekend.

STILL TRYING

I think in the next couple of weeks she'll mastered sitting up. She can actually hold it for a couple of minutes now.
I have one dog that's not so thrilled with Violet sitting up. Yes, Ivy. I'm guessing it's because she no longer stands over Violet and is the one in control. Now Ivy can't get as close because Violet's arms are always moving all over the place. Also Violet has just recently noticed the dogs and stares at them a lot. Ivy does not like being stared at. Once Violet becomes mobile I think we may separate her and dogs for a while... or t least her and Ivy.
