ST.LOUIS SCIENCE CENTER

We went to St.Louis for the holiday weekend. Our plan was to go to the zoo again but it rained all day Saturday. So we decided to head to the Science Center and let Violet and Jackson run around. We went very early. It was a good thing too, because it started to fill up fast. By the time we left for lunch it was packed. We did head over to the Zoo for lunch inside the Living World. Then we left and Violet passed out in the car.

Apparently looking through glass windows was the highlight for these two.

This was the first visit that Violet and Jackson really played together. It was fun watching them. I have some video of the two of them that I'll try posting tomorrow.

18 MONTH CHECK UP

Violet weighs 25lb and is in the 60%. She is 33 1/2" tall putting her in the 93% and her head is 48cm which lands her in the 85%. She says about 12 words and sounds and knows all her body parts. The Dr. was telling us things she should be doing by the time she's 2 and most she's already doing. Like putting two words together. She can say 'all done' and 'all gone'. She should also be pretending by age 2, which she does with her babies and play cooking. The Dr. also said that you can't reason with them until they are two. I beg to differ with this one. She understands, for example, in order to get more french fries she has to eat her chicken. I was glad to hear she was on track of ahead on some things.
