MONKEYS AT PLUSH YOU!

Posted these a while ago. But here are my monkeys that will be at Plush You! which is opening friday at Schmancy in Seattle.

ONE YEAR LATER

I thought I'd get a pic of Violet sitting with the pumpkins like we did a year ago. Look how different she looks. Same cheeks! Her legs looks really skinny I swear her legs aren't this skinny. It must be the camera angle and the fact she's wearing black.

FESTIVE WEAR

Yesterday I decided to dress Violet in her new plaid halloween dress. Thought it would be festive for pumpkin picking. Of course when we got up yesterday morning it was 45. So a coat and hat were needed. But I got this shot yesterday afternoon after her nap. All smiley and cute!

PUMPKIN PICKIN'

Spent the morning yesterday picking pumpkins. We finally found the best pumpkin patch and it's really close. It's called Johnson Farms. You get to go out to the pumpkin field and pick your pumpkin. Many are still on vines and you have to cut them.

It was very chilly. Had to pull out the heavy jackets. We were the first ones there for about half an hour. It was great! We had the whole field and hay wagon to our selves.

We then went to see all the farm animals. Violet got to walk among the young chicks. She was very excited. Poor chickens kept running every time she'd get near.

Goat licked Violet's finger. And as quickly as that happened Violet's finger went into her mouth. Ugh.

Had fun wandering the hay maze. She did surprisingly well in there.

We stayed for about 2hrs. We had to get going so we could get some lunch and take a nap. But we could have stayed for the pig races and the giant canon that shoots pumpkins. Could have also tried the pumpkin donuts and cider but thought it might ruin lunch. Maybe next year. I think this will become a new tradition for us every year. Big fun!!

HALLOWEEN INSIDE

I finished putting up our Halloween decorations. There is actually more but I only decorated the foyer because Violet can't get to it. Maybe next year we can add the rest.

Made this two years ago. It was actually supposed to go on the outside of the door but when I got done and hung it I couldn't shut the screen door. Doh!

I finally bought the Martha Stewart paper mice. I was going to cut them out myself but found these 40% off at Michaels.

Our Haunted Memories portraits went up four years ago for Halloween and never came down. Most people think they are just more of our family portraits like we have going up the steps. It's fun seeing peoples reactions. That's why we've left them up all year long. These linticular images are by far the best ones out there!

EATING LIKE ROYALTY

I finally got the elastic on Violet's crown last night. I tried it on her this morning and she did pretty good with it. No screaming or grabbing at it. It lasted on her head for a couple of minutes. When I took it off she kept grabbing at it and saying hat. So maybe if we practice wearing it between now and picture time she'll keep it on longer so we can get a good shot.
