EASTER EGG HUNT

This morning we dyed eggs.



This afternoon we had our street Easter egg hunt.
We ended the evening with a cook out and some beers in our garage.







We left out some of the eggs we dyed and carrots for the Easter Bunny.

Her basket does not consist of a lot of candy this year. I made a doll, a Mickey Mouse coloring book and I covered a sketch book with a fun illustration of a Gnome. We have an on going story here about Gnomes. She's getting some colored pencils, stickers, soap and underwear. She loves getting new underwear. I figured she needs some more and this was a perfect opportunity. I put them in some eggs. : )

WEEKEND YARD WORK

I pulled out the crazy rose bushes that used to be under the window. They never grew right. They were supposed to be miniature rose bushes but they were more like a vine. They grew all long and crazy with huge thorns. I was always afraid the kids would get poked by them. So in went 4 box woods. Some day they will grow into a nice hedge. Planted another box wood in front too.

SWIM LESSONS

More like crying and shivering lessons, and not because the water was cold. 15 minutes we cancelled the group lessons and signed up for private lessons. If that doesn't work I don't know what else to do.

OLD TO NEW

Our old grills cart. It's been sitting around for about 3 years. I saved it because I wanted to put a wood top on it for the deck.

I finally got around to it this weekend. Sanded cart, primed and repainted it. Cut up some cedar, attached it and stained. Perfect addition to the deck.
