NEW DRESS

 

Violet woke up to a new dress this morning. Today is Special person/Grandparents day at school today so she wore it. I managed to find a little energy last night to finally start on three summer dresses I've been wanting to make for her. Got one done last night. A little behind this year. But since the weather hasn't been warm I guess it doesn't really matter. The dress/tunic is shorter in front and longer in the back. Very simple took a little over an hour and a half.

EYE DOCTOR

Violet had her first eye doctors visit yesterday. A recommendation but not mandatory for starting kindergarten. We decided to go ahead and have it done. Her eyes are fine. Chris noted that there was no way she was going to identify one of the objects on the chart. That object was an image of a rotary phone. Ha! I don't even think she could identify a cordless phone. All she knows is that phones are flat rectangles. Time to update your images.

9 LIVES

The dog that acts like a cat and has 9 lives is home resting now. Not sure how many of those she's got left. She's resting now and I managed to get food in her last night and this morning. Over the weekend I made chicken, rice and carrots thinking she'd eat that. So I got it out again but mixed baby food with it. A recommendation from the vet. She ate about 3 tbsp last night and 3 tbsp this morning. The one little pill is easy to get in her but the other is huge and even after cut up there is a lot of it. Took a little while to get that  in her last night. Think tonight I'll really crush it up and put it in the baby food.  She seems a little more alert today. Drinking water on her own but still won't go outside unless I carry her out. Hope by this evening,with 24hr of the antibiotic in her, she'll feel a bit better and be able to eat on her own without me spoon feeding her.

Illness : bad liver infection, anemic, bladder stones, heart murmur(which we've known) a lot for such a little dog.

PLANET COMIC CON

Planet Comic Con was this weekend. Violet and I headed down to visit Chris and  say hi to some of our friends that had booths.

I made Violet go to the kids costume contest.  She had fun seeing what all the kids came dressed as. I was very proud of her when she didn't cry and said her name, who she was and what her character was from, in front of about 200 people. That is a huge accomplishment for her.

Then we went and visited Chris at his booth.

 

The convention was crazy busy. It was like mini San Diego. Hard to maneuver and at times not enjoyable. But the couple of hours we spent were fun, but I was happy to go.
