TURN, TURN, TURN

Violet learned to turn around in circles from Jackson this weekend. Now all you have to do is say turn around and she thinks it's a game.

Her other new thing this week is clapping after everything she does. When she'd do something right and we'd say 'good job' she'd start to clap. Now she does it with out us saying 'good job'. It's pretty constant. It can follow something as simple as taking her shoe or sock off. And of course she has a huge grin on her face too.

THE LEGEND OF T-REX

We spent yesterday afternoon at The Legends in KS. We haven't been there since before Violet was born. There are a lot more shops and restaurants open now. We ate at the T-Rex cafe. Jackson wasn't to fond of the moving Triceratops. Also bought some t-shirts and bottoms for the fall at the Carters and Gap Outlet.

Violet ate dinner REALLY, REALLY well!!

GET OUTTA HERE

So I think Violet just doesn't like people in the water with her. When she uses her baby pool by herself she's fine. The minute you get another kid in with her, that's it, it's over. This was a very short bath.

DO I HAVE TO?

Jackson and Karen are in town visiting. This is from last night. We asked them to give each other hugs. Instead they just stood there.

MR.TOAD'S WILD RIDE

Mr.Toad lives under our deck. He only comes out at night to sit near the landscape lights and wait for the bugs. During the day you can lift the trap door on the deck, that gets to the faucet, and see him sleeping up against the house. I think he's really hiding from Ivy because he doesn't want to get licked.

OUCH!

Violet has a huge bump on her forehead. She took a header off her folding chair outside last night right into her car. It looks 100% better today than it did last night. Needless to say that ended the outside time for the evening.

There's a new toy store at Crown Center that carries a bit of Hello Kitty. This is My Melody by Sanrio.

This is the only pic I have with this hair. I think it looks better on me. Violet's hair is still so thin and at weird lengths.

Apparently dinner is a blast now. Complete opposite of last week.

EATING BETTER

Since we took the tray off Violet's booster seat and pushed her up to the table she's been eating much better. I think she's been fighting us to be more independent. I just didn't like the messes but I'll have to let it go for now.

Violet's hair is getting quite long. I can almost get it all in two ponytails now. She managed to keep the bows in for a couple of hours before pulling hem out.
