Dada found these at old navy today. We went to get some tshirts because she's out growing what she has. You can tell in this pic that her shirt sleeves are a bit short. She wore these all over old navy and when we got home.
We've been teaching Violet to say 'Please Mama or Dada' and 'thank you' when she gets a treat. The other night Chris was giving Violet a treat and asking her "What do we say?", she'd reply "Peas". Then Chris would ask " And what else", and she replied "dance" and then proceeded to dance all over the living room. I'm not sure where she picked this up. Maybe she has circus monkeys in her room at school that I haven't seen. So now everytime you ask her what do you say she says "peas and dance" and then spins around with a big smile on her face. v
Violet's new word she likes saying is applesauce. She prefers the green applesauce which is apple/pear flavor. It's actually pretty gross looking. Here Violet is being silly and showing me her applesauce.
Ivy was such a good trooper during all of this. Violet pushed her all around the living room and she didn't try to jump out once. Maybe she was frozen with fear. "Nakee" (naked) babies have to go for a ride too. Willow was not being a team player and did not want a box ride. But then again Willow is never interested in anything Violet is doing. This of course leads to Violet bothering her even more.
Violet calls them "my pity shoes". She can't quite get the R yet. We saw these at Target last weekend and decided to pick them up because she's getting a box of play clothes for her birthday. The minute I picked them up Violet wanted to hold them. She held them all the way to the register saying "pity shoes pink". They are a size to big but she'll grow into them and they're only for around the house any way. I can see we are now entering the world of all things glittery and sparkly. She fussed this morning because she wanted to wear them to school.
Violet's birthday plates arrived last week, meant to take a pic. You can upload an image to Hallmark.com and put it on a plate. We're continuing the Alice in Wonderland theme for her birthday. I know it's 6 weeks away but I can get heart napkins and such right now because Valentine's Day goodies are in stores now. I'm working on her invites this week too and just found some Alice in Wonderland fabric to make her a jumper dress.
