Easter Bunnie's key is at the front door.

Violet wanted to leave carrots for the Easter Bunny. We decided to add some dyed eggs too.

EASTER PARTY TIME

Today was party day at school. Most of the kids wore their frilly Easter dresses and fancy shoes. I'm not big on Violet wearing fancy shoes or a fancy dress to school. They run around outside twice a day and I know what her tennis shoes look like after she's been playing on the mulch filled playground.
So I tried on the cotton dress I made last August and it finally fit. She wore leggings and her pink converse and looked super cute. I made her a matching headband a while ago too. I added the pink buttons to her sweater.
So she wasn't overly frilly like the other girls, but she never is really, and she still looked very springy.

NO CRACKS!

Last thursdays cheesecake for work lunch. First cheesecake with no cracks. And it was super yummy too.

LOOKS LIKE SUMMER PART II

It was so warm this weekend we got the water table and sprinkler out. Violet actually ran through the sprinkler once or twice.

She mostly wanted to water the flowers. I wish my Phlox stayed like this all summer.

Goin' to the dentist today. :)

So we didn't take a llama but we did take Violet to the dentist. All went well. Teeth look great! Violet was very excited she got to pick out her own toothbrush.

HOLY HAIL!

Crazy storm just hit. Literally 15 minutes to go. Grabbed some pieces. Most were the size of quarters but there were some the size of walnuts and golf balls. Neighbors have a broken window. We'll be checking the roof tomorrow morning. I'm sure the landscape lights are beat to hell. Glad I hadn't planted any flowers yet.

We had a lot of fun and plan on going back once the trees have more leaves and things are a bit greener.

Of course then we played on the playground before we left.

CUT, CUT, CUT

Last night Violet cut and glued paper together. She's doing great with holding the scissors. We also made a pair of binoculars out of toilet paper rolls for our "adventure" to the woods that we took today. Pics of that to come tomorrow.

BATH HAT

We've been struggling with bath time for a few months now. As a baby you used to be able to pour water over her head and she'd laugh. Then she started lying down in the bath tub with no problems and we could wash her hair. Then suddenly she had to have a wash cloth over her eyes. It went from that to, screaming hysterically and trying to climb out of the tub. It was ridiculous and I dreaded bath time. We've resorted to the bath hat. Which seems to be working though she still complains the water is dripping in her ears and continuously asks if I'm done yet. I hope this phase does not last long. We start swim lessons up again in May. I predict screaming and trying to tear my skin off as she clings to me.
