HALLOWEEN SET UP

The jumping spider is new this year. We've made a few adults jump with this one. I'll take video later.

This is the new fog machine contraption. It'll hold a bag of ice and dry ice. The fog is pumped into the cooler and it comes out the other end. Gives the effect of rolling fog.

This always all looks better in the dark.

STAR OF THE WEEK

 

Violet is the Star of the Week this week. She gets to take something from home in the Star of the Week bag to share with her class. She's supposed to share something about her self. Today she took her soccer trophy and soccer photo.

SPIRITS OF THE PAST

Spirits of the Past at Missouri Town

It was pretty cold last night. We bundled up for some trick or treating.

  

This place doesn't need a bunch of gorey halloween stuff. The 1850s decor in the dark only lit by candles is enough to spook anyone. Lot of great visuals.

Table full of 1850s home remedies. If you have a bug bite, just mix up some manure and urine into a paste and slap it on.  I wonder how they came up with all their concoctions.

 

Hot apple cider to warm us up.

 

Love these guys. They had them last year. They're made up of stuff laying around the village.

END OF THE SOCCER SEASON

We've officially ended the soccer season. Time for a break and do something else. I think she started to loose interest the last two weeks. But we'll be ready to go again next spring.

Last night Violet had her end of the season party at Custard's Last Stand. The girls all wore their halloween costumes. Violet wore her Tangled dress because I knew the sleeves of her Sleeping Beauty dress would get ice cream all over them.

 

  

The coveted trophies. Violet has been asking all season if she'll get a trophy.

BYE BYE PLAYROOM

Goodbye play room. All toys except the kitchen and table have been relocated to Violet's room.

 Hello office!!!

Originally our dining room before the playroom, that we rarely used as a dining room, is now an office. Still need a desk chair, floor lamp, and raise the chain on the ceiling light. New computer coming later! I love having everything organized, filed and stored all in one spot instead of in different areas of the house. The sewing desk I refinished, in the left hand corner, will some day be Violet's spot for keeping her homework and school stuff. I don't expect her to work at it but it'll be a great station to keep her stuff organized.

Got Violet's proof sheet for this years school pictures. You can't tell in the photo but she had strep throat and we made arrangements just to come in to get her photo taken that day.. When we were at the doctor the day before I told her we'd have to stay home from school the next day and you'll miss picture day. She had a melt down in the parking lot of the doctors office.
