SUCCESSFUL FIRST DAY

Violet had a great day despite the tiny hiccup this morning. She told us all about her day and is in a great mood!

FIRST DAY OF 1st GRADE

First day of 1st grade. Feels like we just started kindergarten.

This is where it kind of all went down hill. Lots of clinging onto and holding back tears. I motioned to Mrs. Harrel her teacher and she came over to get Violet and I slipped out of the classroom. I knew we might have trouble this morning because she was asking a ton of questions at bedtime last night. Questions I couldn't ask like, what will we do today, will 1st grade be hard, who will I sit with at lunch, etc.

 

MEET YOUR TEACHER NIGHT

 

Meet your teacher night was last night. Violet got to see her new room and meet her new teacher.

No more sitting at tables. She has an actual desk that she can put her supplies in.

NEW SOCCER SEASON

The new soccer season started this weekend. BIG changes. Bigger field, goalie, rules, positions... a little overwhelming. Lots of confused girls out on the field. Violet's a fast learner and listens well so I know she'll get the hang of it soon.

 

 

 

BABY JAIL

I was put here because I want to play with and grab everything that is not a toy.

 

Toys are left untouched in baby jail. Grabbing, licking, pulling, and shaking of baby jail is what is entertaining right now. Until he's had enough and then starts screaming because he still hasn't figured out how to sit down from the standing position.

MAJOR BOO BOO

Violet took a pretty hard fall off a boat dock and into a bunch of rocks. Chris took Violet and Gryphin to see Grandma and Grandpa at their lake house. I stayed home to get a bunch of stuff done around the house. Violet was fishing and suddenly didn't feel well and passed out which led to falling off the dock, into the water and face against a rock wall. In the past she has had the tendency, when she doesn't feel good or gets hurt, to get real white in the face and look as if she's going to pass out. Today is the first time she actually did. Luckily she had a life vest on and Chris grabbed her right away. She's pretty banged up. Face being the worst. Keeping an eye on her tomorrow.

Now that he's crawling I got out the tunnel. He loves just sitting in it.

BACKYARD CAMPOUT

Jackson, Violet and I camped out in the backyard Saturday night. The temperature was great. Almost chilly.

 

We ate snacks and watched a movie on the Ipad.

 

Then they wanted to do shadow puppets.

Jackson did this for about half an hour till I said lights out.
