BYE BYE PLAYROOM

Goodbye play room. All toys except the kitchen and table have been relocated to Violet's room.

 Hello office!!!

Originally our dining room before the playroom, that we rarely used as a dining room, is now an office. Still need a desk chair, floor lamp, and raise the chain on the ceiling light. New computer coming later! I love having everything organized, filed and stored all in one spot instead of in different areas of the house. The sewing desk I refinished, in the left hand corner, will some day be Violet's spot for keeping her homework and school stuff. I don't expect her to work at it but it'll be a great station to keep her stuff organized.

Got Violet's proof sheet for this years school pictures. You can't tell in the photo but she had strep throat and we made arrangements just to come in to get her photo taken that day.. When we were at the doctor the day before I told her we'd have to stay home from school the next day and you'll miss picture day. She had a melt down in the parking lot of the doctors office.

MISSOURI TOWN FALL FESTIVAL

On Sunday we headed over to Missouri Town for their fall festival. It was a much nicer day than Saturday.

On the way out we stopped by the Hoofed Animal Enclosure and got to finally see the buffalo. Most of the time they are way out in the field by the pond or hiding out in the trees.

 

These guys were a little sassy.

Violet wanted to wear her fairy wings and pixie dust necklace this year. Jackson brought his pirate gear, perfect for pirate weekend, which was this past weekends theme.

 

  

I was amazed she wanted to do this . She was a little apprehensive though.

  

No fear.

  

Jackson spent the whole day looking for treasure that a Pirate told him was buried somewhere.

 

The other fairy spent the day bundled up. This is her judging me look. I get that often.

 

We finished up the afternoon with the jousting event.

I don't know if this guy was trying to look like Henry VIII, but he was doing a good job. Only thing missing from this pic is a giant turkey leg in his hand.

OCTOBERFEST

Fun at Octoberfest on Saturday.  Met up with friends and rode some rides.

 

 

Took a break and had some cotton candy.

PUMPKIN PICKING 2012

 

We took our annual trip out to Johnson Farms Pumpkin Patch on Sunday. It was a beautiful morning. A little chilly but nice. We crammed in a ton this past weekend. Soccer game Saturday (2 goals this weekd!) then Octoberfest in downtown Lees Summit and then pumpkin picking Sunday. I'm tired.

 

Violet was very smiley and in a great mood all morning till we left. Riding on the hay ride out to the fields.

This is the first year she would actually go up to the ponies.

 

They have added a giant tunnel town this year. You'd think Violet would have been all over that thing. Not so much.
