The fondest memory Chris and I have together of Grandpa is when Violet was born. We shared this today and I thought I'd share it here too. The day Violet was born Grandpa came to the hospital to visit. He had a pretty bad cough and as he entered the Maternity ward he began coughing and was immediately confronted by a nurse. The nurse told him he could not go back to see the baby unless he put on a face mask. Grandpa looked at the nurse and told her 'I'll put on the face mask, heck I'll put on a diaper too if that means I get to go see my great grandbaby'. Of course this got quite a laugh out of the nurses. Chris not only got his talent but his sense of humor as well. What I like about this story is that it involves Violet and we can share that with her as she grows up. It is a shame he won't be around as she gets older. A great man will be missed by all .
