I asked Violet what kind of pumpkin she wanted and of course she said Dora. So we've got one Dora and one pirate skeleton. I carved the pirate out of a white pumpkin. First time I've ever carved a white pumpkin and probably my last. It was about 3" thick and smelled funny. I had to scrape a ton out of the inside to make it manageable to carve. It also doesn't glow as nicely as the orange pumpkin. The inside of the white one is more green than orange.
