Saturday was Chris's birthday. He wanted cookies instead of a cake. So we made sugar cookies with icing.
I also made a big lasagna for dinner that night.
I've learned that I can not tell Violet what gifts we are getting people anymore. Saturday morning I called her upstairs to wrap Chris's gift. Before heading up she ran to Chris and said "It's a surprise Daddy. We're wrapping your coffee mug." I told her we're not supposed to say what the present is and that it's supposed to be a surprise when they open it. Her response was, "It's ok. We can still hide it". I don't think she quite gets it.
