ELF: DAY #6

Violet was not happy that Cheeseburger got into her candy.

Last night we decorated gingerbread houses. They were actually graham cracker houses that I preglued together with hot glue.

ELF: DAY #5

He got into the markers last night! And sporting his new green scarf.
Violet is asking lots of questions about how her elf can do the things he's doing. This morning's question was how did he get the big box of markers off the shelf and up on the table. It's to heavy for him. I've got to be on my toes with a quick response lately. So far she's believing that he fly's like Tinkerbell and uses elf/fairy dust to move things. I might have to make a little bag of fairy dust so she'll stop asking questions. She's definitely a problem solver.

I thought it would be funny if her elf scribbled. She always makes it a point to show us how she stays in the lines and says only babies scribble.

The other night we went to Christmas in the Park at Longview then went and got some hot chocolate. Always a fun tradition.

ELF: DAY #4

Violet found or elf knitting a tiny scarf this morning. Apparently he thinks our house is to cold.
Christmas decorations are up. They've actually been up for a week and a half.
I made new stockings back in September. I made our old ones before Violet was born and they couldn't really hold a whole lot.

So now she has one that is specifically her own. The most time consuming part of the stockings was hand embroidering the initials.

I decided to make slip covers for the couch pillows too.

Old stockings now hang on the railing.

Last years Santa photo sits in a new frame. Bought a cheap frame painted it red, sparkled it red and then clear coated it. $4 frame looks $$$.
This little jar held the spiders at Halloween and I filled it with pine cones and leaves at Halloween.

Violet's tree. Last years star topper broke so we bought a new one. Violet got to pick it out. Pink and sparkly.

We discovered an app last night. Fake Santa Calling. Gets Violet to eat every time.

ELF DAY #1

Our elf showed up this morning. His name is Cheeseburger. That's what Violet named him when she was 2 1/2.

This morning he had dragged a whole roll of toilet paper out of the bathroom.
Violet was crazy excited this morning. I wanted to wait till December 1st to start but he's been showing up at other people's houses and Violet kept asking why hers hasn't shown up yet. I had every day planned for December. Looks like I'll be revising that today.
He also left a tiny little note.
