NO NO CARWASH

Violet does not like the car wash. It really freaked her out.

Yesterday was Violet's 2 year checkup. Her head is 48 1/2" around putting her in the 85th percentile. She weighs 27lbs which puts her in the 50th percentile ans she is 36 1/2" tall putting her in the 95th percentile. The height thing didn't surprise me. She's taller than a lot of the kids that are 5-6 months older than her. I was surprised that she landed in the 50% for weight. The doctor basically said she needs to eat more and we could try pedia-sure for extra calories if we wanted. Food is not and has never been her priority and she could care less about it. The not eating thing has finally caught up with her.

PLAY-DOH FUN

Last night we played with Violet's new Play-Doh toys. She likes the cookie cutter shapes but did not like the tool that made the spaghetti like noodles. She got kinda freaked out when they started oozing out of the tool.

SAY WHAT? WEDNESDAYS

Since Violet is talking a lot more now and making 3 to 4 word sentences I thought I'd start posting funny things she says. I may not be able to post something every week.

Last Friday after picking up Violet from school we decided to get some dinner at Chili's. After being seated and getting Violet situated I headed to the restroom to wash my hands. Just wash my hands! While I was gone the waiter came by to take our drink order. Violet looked up at the waiter and told him 'Mama big poop'. For someone who never talks to people she doesn't know, she felt compelled to tell the waiter this. I did not find out about this till the next day. Otherwise I might have gone back to the restroom to hide.

I'M TWO!

Not till the 1st...but close enough.
We had 8 kids and all the parents over around 3:30 yesterday. It was a lot of fun. I'd say it was a success, everyone left happy and nothing was broken. They all really enjoyed Violet's play room and I think they would have all just stayed in there.

Violet was very eager to open presents but we had to eat pizza first.

Violet got a personalized story book from Haily and Austin, Leap Frog Junior reader with a book from Cora, Lincoln, Claire and Elise and Playdoh and Playdoh toys from Jillian and Addison. I'm wearing the crown because Violet didn't want to.

Then we had craft time and decorated some heart shaped frames I found at Michaels.

And finally it was cake time. Violet actually managed to blow out the candle.

Violet ate all the icing and left the cake.

Then it was all over. Violet went to bed all happy and I crashed.

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

I made some more tissue paper flowers like last year. I made a giant one this year that is hanging from the fan.

We picked up some balloons at Party Express. I love the big #2. It's all silver no printing on it.

I found theis cupcake stand after christmas on sale at Crate and Barrel. It'll hold 24 cupcakes

I made little flags that read Eat Me and glued them to toothpicks.

I posted these before, but these are the plates I created through Hallmark.com.

This is right after Violet woke up from her nap. You can see in her face that she just woke up. She loved seeing all the balloons.

I have quite a few pictures like this, of Violet standing at the front door. I love how silhouette. This is her waiting for everyone to show up. We had some yucky weather yesterday afternoon, but luckily no one had to drive, they just had to walk across the street.
