SCARRY METAL BABY FURNITURE

I love old ads like these. What is that crazy contraption all the way to the right. It looks like a cross between a bouncer and a highchair. I actually grew up with a playpen like that. I turned out fine. I wish they still made something like that. I think the Pack-n-Plays are stupid. I already barely use mine it just seems like a little cage to me. It did come in handy the first 6 weeks but I haven't really used it since.

COINCIDENCE

TWO MONTH CHECKUP

Violet's 2 month checkup was this morning. She now weighs 12lb 5oz putting her in the 90%. She is 24 in long putting her in the 95% and her head measures 40cm around putting her in the 80%. She had all of her shots today too. She wasn't to happy getting those. She screamed like I've never seen. Turning bright red and crying really hard. But it didn't last long. I got her calmed down, dressed her and put her in her car seat and within minutes she was asleep. I think she just wore herself out.
I'm still amazed at length. She's just about out grown her 3 month pajamas. They fit fine everywhere except in length. Her feet and legs are all bunched up inside. So I'm thinking of cutting the feet off of all of them and hemming them so we can get at least another month out of them.
The doctor says everything looks great and to just keep doing what we're doing.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE 1 MONTH MAKES

I had to put a jacket on Violet yesterday because it was so cool. I took the top photo yesterday and the bottom photo on April 1st. Look how huge her head got in just one month. The hood was pretty snug on her head. I don't think I'll get much more us out of it. Of course if it warms up and stays warm it won't matter. Thursday is her doctors appointment for her first set of shots. We'll see how much she weighs then and see how the doctor thinks she's progressing. I hope all goes well with the shots and she won't get much of a fever.

OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS....

Well there was a river but no woods just a lot of nothing along the way. This past weekend was our first time away from home to visit Grandma. We went to St. Louis for a long weekend. It didn't go as smoothly as we had hoped. Violet was pretty cranky the whole time. New sounds, smells and things to see, which she loved, but left her over stimulated by the evening and hard to put to sleep. Hopefully she will get more used to us traveling to St. Louis and the next time will be better. Cranky for her still isn't that bad but when you're not used to it it becomes frustrating.
Her sleeping is still going well. The trip didn't seem to throw things off to much. She goes down at 8ish wakes up once or sleeps till 5am. She's a good baby.
