Violet likes my jewelry so I picked up some party beads and cheap bracelets. School has a big bin of party beads that the kids like to play with so I thought we'd try it at home. She likes the fact that she can put them on and take them off herself.

I think she likes it.
Finished the bodice of Violet's Halloween costume. If she doesn't grow at all in the next 2 months I'll really have to take it in in the back. However the sleeves are at a perfect length right now. I could always add a cuff if her arms grow.

NEW HALLOWEEN BLOG

I started a new blog that will post all of our Halloween projects. It'll be a great way to keep that stuff all in one place every year. I'll always post one pic here for each entry with the link to the blog to see the rest of the pics and post.

Costume number one is done.
Chris and I are starting to gear up for Halloween. I started the costumes to get those out of the way first.

HEARTY BREAKFAST

I'd need a nap after a breakfast like that.

For now I'm done working on any plush until after Halloween. I've worked it into my schedule to do no plush for the nest two months. After that I have 2 commission pieces I have to start. I like to gear up for Halloween and I also thought I'd get some Xmas stuff out of the way.
Violet is getting a play kitchen for xmas, Chris and I plan on building this. So of course she's going to need all the stuff that goes with it. I've noticed that there is not a whole lot of breakfasty foods out there in the play food world, so I decided to make some out of fleece. They're not fancy, just your typical breakfast items. I so wanted to put faces on them but refrained.

I also made her an apron and matching towel and hot pads out of a Martha Stewart hand towel and some scrap Alexander Henry material that I've holding onto forever.

She also insisted they all fit on this tiny doll blanket. I sometimes wonder what her thought process is when she's doing things so systematically.

All day rain leads to destroyed living room. I'm dreading what winter may bring.
