I'M MOVING, I'M MOVING!!!!!

Violet crawled about six feet this evening. She's very cautious and stiff, and gets very serious. By the end of the weekend I'm sure she'll be a pro.

PUSH THE BUTTON

Nothing really new to report. Still not really drinking her milk during the day. She guzzles down her 8oz at bedtime so it can't be because she doesn't like it. I'm baffled.

I'm amazed at how quickly she is figuring things out now. You really only have to tell her or show her once and she gets it. The new one is we tell her to push the button to make music, then she dances. Dancing right now is sitting and bouncing up and down. She does this at a mexican restaurant we like to eat at too. Maybe that's why she loves her maracas so much.

NURSES ADVICE

Called the Dr's office this morning to get some advice. We were told to just keep trying to get her to drink. Thanks, I never thought of that. Plus we were told she should be drinking 20oz. That's crazy! Even if she was drinking all her milk right now it still only adds up to 16oz.

BIG WEEKEND

Violet finally has figured out how to sit up from a laying position. I know, this should have happened months ago. She's also getting on her knees on her own now as well as taking steps when holding onto the couch or your hands. She figured out how to really play with her maracas and if you ask her where her head is she touches her head with both hands. She also can point out eyes in books but hasn't figured out she has them too. These are great achievements this weekend except she still doesn't want to drink. It's been going on, off and on, since christmas, but this week has been the worst. Let me first state that Violet has never cared about her bottle or food. Her main priority has never been about eating. In fact there have been evenings it's taken 45 minutes to feed her her dinner. So when people say try putting her milk in a sippy cup or she'll eventually drink it, they just don't understand. Anyone have any suggestions?
