LONGEST DAY EVER

We had a very busy and fun day today. This morning we met Violet's new best friend that was born yesterday. There are officially 6 girls now that are all within a year or two of each other that live on our street. Actually all these girls live next door or across the street. I think 6 is a good number to start a girl band.

After the hospital visit we headed over to Borders to pick up a book for Violet about using the potty. Just in the last week Violet tells us every time she's gone potty in her diaper. Plus she starts pulling or patting at her diaper. Apparently she's been doing this at school too. She's been sitting on her little potty before bath time every night for quite a while now. I think maybe we'll pursue this a bit more now. I have a feeling she's going to be potty trained before she turns 2. I think we're going to have to talk to the ladies at school and see if they'll go along.

We then had lunch at Chili's where Violet would rather feed Chris than eat herself.

Then we came home for a nap. Grandma & Grandpa Young came over for a while after nap time. We ate dinner and then went to Old Navy to buy some clothes for the fall because I had a coupon for 30% off your entire purchase. Then we had some ice cream, came home, took a bath and went to bed. Then I decided to clean and vacuum the car. Is it really only 8:50.

GETTING BRAVER

Violet has gotten a lot braver when it comes to climbing and sliding. She pretty much wants to do it on her own. She goes down the slide with no help. I don't need to catch her anymore either. She knows not to let her head fling back. The only help she needs is climbing the ladder. Her legs are still to short to reach each step.

Chris and I both flank either side of the swing set openings.

My favorite picture.

I WANT THOSE

Apparently the other kids toys on our street are better than hers. She'd rather play with their toys than her own. She also prefers to push any ride on toys than actually ride them.

INKED

Lay down, lie down, whatever. Let's just say I have a higher threshold for pain.

Chris was busy talking comic books stuff with Jessie's (tattoo artists) husband Dennis that he didn't take any pictures of me till we got home. Chris and Dennis are working on a project together.
