WHERE'S THE DRIVEWAY?

As of noon, still no one had left our street.

Mr. Jeff, in the background, and Chris said they'd get the lawn chairs out and have a beer when they were done. They wimped out.

That's a lot of snow.

CHRSTMAS MORNING

Before the chaos.

Violet loves her stove. She looks tiny next to it. But she'll grow into it and be able to play with it for years.

Cleaning the sink.

More people. That's what she calls her Playmobile toys. Santa brought her two more sets to add to her Zoo set. More people means more rides in her shoes.

She also got the V-tech phone because she's obsessed with the house phone. What I like about this phone is that it looks like a real cordless phone.

New doll with hair! We'll see how long it takes before the hair looks all ratty. I bet I'll be combing it every night. It's the Sleeping Beauty baby doll. Comes with little stuffed Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather fairies.

Violet got Dada plastic popcorn buckets. Which she thought were hats.

BOOM! The aftermath.

STAGE IS SET

Everything is all set! Don't think wrapping paper is gonna cover this.

A VERY GRINE CHRISTMAS

Tonight we had Christmas festivities at Aunt Shannon and Uncle Jason's house. We ate good food and had fun opening gifts.

Violet got right into opening presents and tearing the paper. Surprisingly she was interested in each gift before running off to find another one to open.

Grandpa and Grandma Young.

NEW BOOTS

Just like Mama.

COOKIES

This morning we made sugar cookies. Violet liked rolling out the dough but preferred just squeezing it in between her fingers.

We watched the cookies in the oven and she told me it's 'hot'.

Then after nap time we iced the cookies.

I think Violet ate more of the red hots than she did putting them on the cookies.

Then when we were all done we got to stick our fingers in the icing.
