DINNER DRAMA

This is what Violet looks like at dinner about 75% of the time. Fights every minute of it.

I CAN DO IT, THANKYOU

Applesauce is the one food we don't have to fight Violet to eat. She has it at just about every meal. So of course it's the first food she wants to feed herself. She keeps grabbing the spoon out of our hands when we feed her. So I'm taking that as a sign that maybe she wants to do it herself. She figured it out pretty quickly and managed to get most of it in her mouth. The white ring around her mouth is sourcream from her potato. Sourcream, another food she loves.

ALL DRY

Her feet are kind of supposed to be the leaves of the flower.

101.2

That was Violet's temp when we got the call from school to come pick her up. .2 degrees over what is allowed. We know it's because she has her first molar coming in. But that's the rule at school. In order for her to go back to school Chris had to go pick her up, take her to the Dr. where they confirmed it's her teeth and then write us a note so she can go back tomorrow. Not a cheap day. In fact she has two molars coming in and one of her front bottom laterals just popped out thursday. After all this Chris had to come back to work and pick me up. As a result Chris and I are now going to have to drive separately to work which will double our gas cost and maintenance costs. yeah.

So because her gums hurt I made her mashed cheesy potatoes with bacon, peas and sourcream for dinner. Then we had popsicles,I made yesterday, out on the deck. Her lunch today consisted of a chocolate malt Chris got her after her Dr's appointment.

I WILL NOT TOUCH THAT

Today we made a stepping stone. I was hoping to do this outside but it was cold and cloudy...

So we made it on the kitchen floor.

The minute her hand went into the cement she made a fist.

Then we tried it again and she started fussing.

So we did her feet instead.

Maybe later this summer we can try the hands again.
