LOOKIN' GOOD

Hanging out all day in our matching jammies. Chris has the same jammies only in brown.

Ivy and Willow got baths, a brushing and haircuts yesterday. Those are Violets bows.

OPENING GIFTS

BUNNY CAR!!
It took Violet 1 1/2hrs to open her gifts and it wasn't because there were a ton, she wanted to play with each toy.

Ivy and Willow got some treats from Santa too.

Yeah! I can take pics of artwork and Violet now without complaining about my lighting situation.

ALL SET UP

Violet's presents are wrapped in the red plaid wrapping paper. It's Santa's wrapping paper. I bought nine rolls of this paper. We'll see how long it lasts. I don't think we even used up half of a roll for this xmas. I got a crazy deal on the easel. I originally was going to make her one for her bday, but for what I paid for this I could not have made one.

Bunny house...

...and more importantly, bunny car!

HOHOHO!!!

I took video of Violet's expression as we peeked around the corner. I will post that later. We turned all the lights out except the christmas tree and decorations. We saw Santa eating his cookies and putting gifts under the tree. She was a bit shocked and didn't really want to look at him but I kept pointing and telling her to look. She did really great and talked about it as I put her back to bed.

Santa then left and made another appearance at Jason and Shannon's house.

GRINE FAMILY CHRISTMAS

Violet was very eager for everyone to arrive. Apparently so was Ivy.

Lauren opening her Little Mermaid with matching Little Mermaid skirt.

Thomas opening up his Harry Potter wand. It think we had him convinced by the end of the evening that he could cast spells. I think I heard him try to throw a Patronus charm.

Violet cleaning up afterwards.

We played for a little while before heading to bed.

Getting the cookies and carrots out for Santa and his reindeer. She left out nine carrots. One for each reindeer. I asked her last week if she wanted to leave anything out for the reindeer and said 'reindeers eat corn on the cob'. I looked for corn on the cob at the grocery store and only found four packs. She eventually decided carrots were good too.

Yum!

JINGLE BELLS

We weren't able to make it to the Christmas recital at school on friday. Next year we will plan on it, so Violet sang for us when we got home.

ALL LINED UP

Not sure what these guys are all lined up waiting for. They look like a little army. She kept talking about 'line leader' and the 'caboose'. I'm guessing she's reenacting getting in line at school. Very funny!

TREATS FOR SCHOOL TEACHERS

Found cute cup cake boxes that hold 12 cupcakes.

SANTA SUIT

Chris will be dressing as Santa on Christmas eve. We'll put Violet to bed then get her up in about an hour. I finally finished the suit. Still need to decide if I want to add a belt too. I need to either go buy a large belt or buy some vinyl and make one. I also need to make a large toy sack.

Found some cheap black mens rain boots and added the fur trim. I made the trim removable so that the boots can be worn whenever.

The wigs not too bad. I need to comb it out a bit more. I found the key to combing wigs and doll hair is a metal brush.

SAY WHAT? WENESDAYS

In the car on the way home this evening Violet said, "my tummy hurts". I replied, "why". She said, "because it wants candy".

BIG GIRL BED COMING SOON

Violet is very excited. It'll be at the house in 45 days.

VISIT TO SANTA

Went to Bass Pro last night to see Santa. Were the first ones in line but we waited over an hour and a half. We took lots of turns walking Violet around and keeping her occupied.

The big lake out back.Violet was very excited about 'geeses'.

Not one tear. No hesitation. She hopped up on his lap, gave him a hug and actually told him she wanted a bunny car for her bunnies to ride in. Then gave him another hug and a high five. Super cute.

We walked out of Bass Pro to an awesome sunset. Then had Mexican with Grandma and Grandpa. I think Chris had a good birthday.
