After our pink biscuits and gravy breakfast we opened gifts.
Pokemon cards! She has no idea or interest in actually playing the game. Apparently the girls just trade the ones that are cute.
Another ball!
Then we wore the kids out roller skating. It was super busy.

We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant and then had mini cupcakes at home.
They are all tired and a little loopy. Normal bedtime tonight.

All fancied up for school parties today.
Not happy because daddy is holding his ball. He is obsessed with this blue bumpy ball. He holds it all the time. It also now has to go to bed with him and in the car with him. He throws a fit when I take it away when we get to school. Lucky I bought his class a bunch of them for Christmas. Apparently it's all he plays with there too.
Cool heart hair.
I parted the hair above the braided heart.

This year Violet has to have a decorated box for her Valentine's day party. She asked that it be covered in pink fur that I had already had down in my studio. Box covered in pink fur ended up becoming a monster. Valentines can be put in her mouth.

I dread the filling out of the Valentines. Last year she had to fill out 24 and it took her forever. This year she had 19 and got it done in ten minutes. Kind of nice how in a year she's become more focused on getting a task done without me harping about it.

She's all ready for friday. Now she's deciding how she wants her hair done.

He spent 25 minutes yesterday just sitting in it.

I've been reorganizing and purging every room and closet since the beginning of January. Trying to find better ways of organizing stuff (kid stuff). I have seen hallway tables/cubbies with storage baskets but don't have the money to buy anything new and didn't really want to be stuck with another piece of furniture that we just keep in the basement, try and sell or give away.
We've had the above table in the basement for a few years. Chris used to have it in is studio with a scanner and printer on it. I decided it needed a face lift.
Over two weekends I stripped it, sanded it, added two shelves, restained it Walnut, gave it a clear coat of polyurethane, and bought some baskets. Now the kids each have a basket for shoes and another for winter gloves/hats. Middle drawer holds everyones sunglasses. This cleared up a shoe hanging organizer I had hanging in the hall closet. Now coats and jackets aren't all squeezed together. Yay for repurposing something we already had!
