GOTTA BANANA!

Here is Violet's Halloween costume made from Simplicity pattern 3594. The pattern is actually for a toddler so I had to do some altering of the pattern to fit an infant. It is pretty much exactly as you see in the pattern picture. Of course after I finished it I saw a picture of one of the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz and wanted to kick myself for not having thought of making her a flying monkey. How awesome that would have been. DANG IT!!!! DANG IT!!! DANG IT!!! But she goes along with my circus obsession. To bad I can't put her on my shelf with my other circus toys.

BASKETS ARE MORE FUN

Like any kid, Violet would rather play with the container the toys go in than the toys themselves.
We haven't seen a lot of smiles lately. It maybe because of teething and not the stomach bug that we got...I think. She's been pinching her mouth closed tight and grinding her gums together a lot. Can't really tell if it's the bottom two teeth bothering her or maybe her top ones are on the way.

NOT FEELING WELL

Haven't posted in a while because I came down with some stomach bug with fever on Thursday. I still feel real bad but thought I'd let everyone know we're fine. Violet came down with it on Saturday and Chris today, though he hasn't been feeling 100% since friday. Violet seems to be fine now. It didn't hit her as hard as it hit us. She threw up a few of her meals on Saturday and acted fine most of the day. No fever, just fussy when she ate and then over half way threw eating she'd throw it all up. It's been hard since we've both been feeling so bad to take care of Violet. We basically just laid on the floor with her all weekend and when she slept we slept. I hope we all feel better in the morning.
