ONE MONTH PHOTOS

Today we had Violet's picture taken. I'm still amazed you get your photos in 20 minutes. I haven't had any kind of photos taken since film photography. Everything is digital and instantaneous. We scheduled our appointment for early in the morning and the place was still crazy busy. She was really good and only fussed once. She even managed to stay awake for the whole thing. There were other kids screaming there heads off. But she just went with the flow. I just don't think she liked me man handling her so much into different positions.

OINK OINK

I don't have a baby scale so I just weighed her on our scale here at home and it says she weighs 10lbs. That scale is pretty accurate. Someone's a little piggy. She's eats up to 4oz and eats any where from 2-4 hours. I don't force feed her. The doctor even said if she wasn't hungry she would not eat. Of course I've never experienced her rejecting food. There have been times she doesn't finish so I know she doesn't over eat. We are officially out of the newborn diapers and into the stage 1 diapers. They are a little big but the newborn diapers where so tight it looked like they'd be cutting off circulation in her legs. I know we still have a month till our doctors appointment, but I'll be interested in hearing what the doctor has to say if anything. They say at 3 and 6 weeks babies go through a growth spurt. I'm guessing she'll level off for a while till we hit that 6 weeks and she'll gain another ton of weight.

ROSY CHEEKS

Look at those cheeks. No she doesn't naturally have rosy cheeks. She got a little warm during nap time because she was covered up in her swing. My bad. Made for a good photo though.

DOGS STILL ADJUSTING

Every time I put Violet down on the floor on her mat, Ivy thinks it's time to play and be obnoxious. She drags over her monkey and then does her little kicking and strutting thing she likes to do. I like to imagine she's trying to share her monkey but I really think it's more about jealousy.

Willow on the other hand just kind of stays clear. She's a little curious and goes over to her swing every once in a while to see what's inside. At night however she's very curious every time Violet makes a noise in the pack-n-play and walks to the end of the bed to peak inside. I think this adjustment has been hardest on her. She does not like change and is most definitely a dog of habit and routines. And right now there is no routine.

SQUEALS

Though you can't see her, Ivy is apparently the funniest dog Jackson's ever seen.
