DISNEY TRIP DAY 4

Day four was spent at Universals Islands of Adventure. There was only one reason we wanted to go here.

Welcome to Hogsmeade!

Of all the theme parks we'd been to, this was the most crowded.

Awesome!

Violet getting her own special wand picked out for her at Olivander's Wand Shop.

She made the door open. She's afraid to hold the wand because it 'might' do magic and she doesn't know the right words. :D

Ordering our Butterbeer at Hogshead. Very cool inside!

She was afraid to drink it because she thought it was magic.

Ok, it's fine. We ordered the cold versions. Kind of like a slushy.

Candy at Honeydukes.

Then we went to explore the rest of the park. Lunch at Circus McGurkus in Seussville.

We quickly moved through the Jurassic park area. Someone doesn't like dinosaurs. Better yet, doesn't like really looking, I might bite you, dinosaurs.

Super hero area. Chris rode the Hulk rollercoaster and said it was the best roller coaster he'd ever ridden.

Headed back to the hotel around 3. Here's a view out our patio.

We decided to hop on the monorail, our first ride, and head over to the Polynesian for dinner.

Inside the Polynesian lobby.

Scary tiki faces.

Out first Dole Whip of the trip. Had my second in Adventure Land. I recommend the vanilla and pineapple swirl.

We headed back over to Magic Kingdom for about an hour and a half. Rode Aladdins Magic Carpet ride for the third time. We rode this a total of 5 times. Also went to the Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise.

Back to the hotel for a snack. Ginormous brownie the size of her head.

My spice cupcake with cream cheese icing and a gooey carmel center. To rich to finish.

The face says it was good.
Our awesome refillable mugs. Complimentary when staying on property.

DISNEY TRIP DAY 3

Day three was spent at Hollywood Disney.
First ride, Start Tours!
Then Violet and Chris made a light saber. Pink of course.
Speeder bike pic!
Back lot.
We saw the Beauty and the Beast show. This was the first show we saw at any of the parks. Was impressed at how good it was.
Violet slept through the Pixar Parade. Which was to bad because Boo was in the Parade. I think Monsters Inc. is Violets favorite movie. In fact between the drive to and from STL and the plane ride to  Florida she watched that movie four times. Laughs out loud every time.
Mike and Sully!!! They can't do autographs. Had to explain to Violet that their hands are just to big and strong for our little pen.
Dinner that night was at the 50's Prime Time cafe.
All the waitresses names are Mom. When they call your name they yell "Grine, dinner's ready".
Our waitress made Chris set the table.
I hear they tell people to eat there vegetables or keep your elbows off the table.
Very fun place. Great interior too.
Giant chocolate malts for desert.
Hollywood Blvd.
Ended the evening with the Osborne Christmas Light show in the backlot area. All the lights were synchronized to music. Crazy!

DISNEY TRIP DAY 2

The first morning we went to Chef Mickey's in our hotel. Violet got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy. All signed her book.
I've been to WDW one other time during christmas. I think it's the best time to go. Totally decked out for the holidays!
We ran into Mary Poppins while buying our Mickey ears.

One of my favorite photos.
In the late afternoon Violet went to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get made over like a princess. Super cute. Though shy through out the whole thing the loved every minute of it.
Her Fairy Godmother was super nice.
First glance at seeing what she looked like.

The it was off to the castle to dine with the princesses.
Awesome looking at night.
That night we stayed for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and parade.
Free cookies and hot chocolate for everyone!
Awesome castle with icicles. It changed colors many times through out the evening.
Snowing on Main Street.
Parade!

We were lucky to be staying at a hotel within walking distance. No crowds to deal with.

DISNEY TRIP DAY 1

Disney Trip December 15-21, 2012
Violet didn't find out about the trip till the morning we left. It took a while to sink in. She thought we were joking. I put together a goodie bag of Disney themed stuff to keep her occupied on the plane.

Her special Disney Word Ticket. We'll be putting a scrap book together over break of all the stuff we collected.

Inside the Contemporary. 4th floor is were all the fun happens.

Awesome Mary Blair murals inside.

View from the fourth floor observation deck.

Ate a late lunch early dinner in the hotel and then headed to Downtown Disney to walk around.
Can't resist the carousel.

Topped off the evening with sundaes at Ghiradelli!
