LONGEST DAY EVER

We had a very busy and fun day today. This morning we met Violet's new best friend that was born yesterday. There are officially 6 girls now that are all within a year or two of each other that live on our street. Actually all these girls live next door or across the street. I think 6 is a good number to start a girl band.

After the hospital visit we headed over to Borders to pick up a book for Violet about using the potty. Just in the last week Violet tells us every time she's gone potty in her diaper. Plus she starts pulling or patting at her diaper. Apparently she's been doing this at school too. She's been sitting on her little potty before bath time every night for quite a while now. I think maybe we'll pursue this a bit more now. I have a feeling she's going to be potty trained before she turns 2. I think we're going to have to talk to the ladies at school and see if they'll go along.

We then had lunch at Chili's where Violet would rather feed Chris than eat herself.

Then we came home for a nap. Grandma & Grandpa Young came over for a while after nap time. We ate dinner and then went to Old Navy to buy some clothes for the fall because I had a coupon for 30% off your entire purchase. Then we had some ice cream, came home, took a bath and went to bed. Then I decided to clean and vacuum the car. Is it really only 8:50.

So, I guess she went full term after all. What did they name the baby? Did you get any pictures of her? Tell them you mom says congratulations.

I'm a total fan of potty training when they give you signs that they are ready! I have a friend who's twins still aren't trained and they are going to be 3. They get tummy aches because they hold it so long. I keep my mouth shut, but am wondering when she's going to train them? This is a good site about potty training:

Also Sesame Street has a great potty video. Mica loved it, and 3 other kids borrowed it (people Travis works with, their kids). Isaak doesn't seem the least bit interested in TV, so I won't push the flick on him yet. He goes potty once every other day it seems.

Good luck with Violet! I think training is fun because they get excited when they go. Accidents happen, but it doesn't matter how old they are trained, they'll still happen.
