My parents had a similar picture taken of me when I was about 7 years old. A photographer would walk around the neighborhood with a pony in tow going door-to-door asking if they had any children who would like to have their picture taken while on the pony. They would furnish the cowgirl/cowboy outfit. However, I was into playing cowgirls and cowboys at that age and had my own outfit (boots, chaps, hat, gun and holster). Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to the picture.
