We didn't prompt Violet at all to do this. She really loves the dog and every time we go to Old Navy she has to pet it. I wish I could get a big plastic dog like that.
I'm guessing she understand these aren't real. I know she would never go up to a person and hug them. Maybe she thinks they are big dolls.

Even though she's not really interested in television, I'll bet she has seen those Old Navy commercials where there are real people posing as manequins.
Mica does the same thing at Old Navy.
