SPRING SOCCER

The spring soccer season officially started three weeks ago but we haven't been able to have practices due to cold or the crazy amount of snow on the ground. Yesterday morning was our first game. It was miserably cold, 40 with a wind chill of 32. And for some reason these soccer fields are in a wind tunnel. Violet was a trooper and played really really well considering we've had no practices and the fact that it was so cold.

I told her all I really wanted her to do yesterday was to run really hard and stay in front of the pack.  I told her it's going to get harder and harder to make goals because everyone is getting better and better at playing. She didn't quite understand. But in the end she did manage to make a goal!
