IT'S LIKE A NEW KITCHEN

We redid all the tile backsplash in the kitchen. Here's a photo of the old tile right before we started the demo.

And here's the new tile.

The new tile makes the kitchen feel huge now. It's so much brighter.
I also took down all of the nick-nacky stuff on top of the cabinets. I only kept the glass pitchers. I made the EAT YOUR FOOD sign. Violet did not think this was funny.

I took down the blinds and made cafe curtains for the kitchen window.
We replaced lights in the kitchen last May.

I also took down the curtains that hung at the back door. I repurposed the shear curtains, had to shorten them, and bought new smaller rods to hang on the door. The back door needed some TLC too. Scraped off old caulk and cracking paint, sanded, recaulked and painted the door. Next up is to repaint the kitchen cabinets. They'll still be white, just need to be repainted.
