MAJOR BOO BOO

Violet took a pretty hard fall off a boat dock and into a bunch of rocks. Chris took Violet and Gryphin to see Grandma and Grandpa at their lake house. I stayed home to get a bunch of stuff done around the house. Violet was fishing and suddenly didn't feel well and passed out which led to falling off the dock, into the water and face against a rock wall. In the past she has had the tendency, when she doesn't feel good or gets hurt, to get real white in the face and look as if she's going to pass out. Today is the first time she actually did. Luckily she had a life vest on and Chris grabbed her right away. She's pretty banged up. Face being the worst. Keeping an eye on her tomorrow.

BACKYARD CAMPOUT

Jackson, Violet and I camped out in the backyard Saturday night. The temperature was great. Almost chilly.

We ate snacks and watched a movie on the Ipad.

Then they wanted to do shadow puppets.
Jackson did this for about half an hour till I said lights out.

9 MONTH CHECKUP

Spiky hair.
At 9 months he is 29 inches tall putting him at 72%, 1/2" shorter than Violet at that age. Weighs 20lbs 6oz at 45%, 6oz heavier than Violet was. And his melon measures 45cm at 38%. Dr. said he's got great fine motor skills and does great picking things up with his fingers. She recommended practicing with a sippy cup.

GREAT WOLF LODGE

We all spent a night at the Great Wolf Lodge last night.  Kids had a lot of fun!

Free wolf ears for the kids.

The kids got to sleep in a mini cabin that was inside our room. Slept three. One bunk bed for Violet and Jackson and a single for Gillian.

Dinner break at Chili's

Swim time!

Even little man got in the water.

This family totally hijacked my photo-op.

Story time that night. Fun for little ones.

A little snack before bed. They loved the spoons that changed colors when it got cold. We even brought them home.

PAC MAN FEVER

I've been working on a ton of skirts for Violet for school this year. I wasn't able to make any for her last year.  So I've got three everyday skirts and a new Halloween and Christmas skirts in varying stages of completion. Last night I decided Little Man needed something new. I bought the Pac Man ghost fabric a while ago. Decided on making a pair of shorts. I've got enough fabric to make quite a few more pairs of shorts or loungey pants over the next two years. Of course he needed a matching Pac Man onsie.

Baby model.
If only his hair would stay like this all day. He'll have crazy hair by the end of the day.

TRAIN TO ST.LOUIS

Aunt Karen and Jackson rode the train in last night to pick Violet up and take her back to StL for the week. This morning they got on the train. Here's Violet making a wish in the fountain outside the train station.

Here comes the train. Violet was super excited.

Bye! See ya Friday!
