I love old ads like these. What is that crazy contraption all the way to the right. It looks like a cross between a bouncer and a highchair. I actually grew up with a playpen like that. I turned out fine. I wish they still made something like that. I think the Pack-n-Plays are stupid. I already barely use mine it just seems like a little cage to me. It did come in handy the first 6 weeks but I haven't really used it since.

i think it should be the duty of everyone ELSE to keep a pack -n- play in their house: grandma, auntie, neighbors. we used my sister-in-laws old pack-n-play as a toddler bed when we visited. that was grand, plus it allowed us trunk room for christmas presents!
(also, high chairs. everyone ELSE needs a high chair.)
i've often wondered what they were thinking when the playpen got reduced in size...it's not big enough to play in and too big to pack!
