NOW THE FUN PART

The construction is basically done. There is some trim that goes on the back splash and that's the last of the cutting and nailing to do. I finished painting the burners today. Those too aren't nailed down yet. We had to bring it in from the garage because it's to cold to paint. I started painting the inside of the stove this evening. It's orange. I hope to at least have the back splash done and have it primed tomorrow.

I think it's the Christmas of kitchens. That's what we are giving Niko too. Yours is way nicer though! Ours was free from TRU so.... It's wooden, but not as nice!

What did you finally make it out of? Also the little overhang next to the sink, have you rounded off the corners on it? You wouldn't want her to bump it if the corners are pointy. I can't tell from the picture. Not trying to be preachy, just a concerned grandma. Although I'm sure you thought of that.

every corner is rounded yes. We used a router to make double sure on every edge. We will be leaving a bag of broken glass under the sink though. ;)

Glass, ha ha. I figured you had rounded off all the corners. I'm just a concerned grandma. You know me.
