I can't recall if I've posted this one before or not. I try to label stuff I've posted. Anyway...this is Great Grandma Eleanor Violet Verble and Great Aunt Shirley to Violet. Check out the stylin' hat and coat Grandma has on. Why don't people wear hats anymore? Fancy hats need to come back in style.

Hats pretty much died out in the 1960's. About the only people you see wearing them today are the Red Hat Society, and that's only to their meetings. And, Queen Elizabeth!

Could I get a copy of that picture too? I don't think I've ever seen it before. Also, if you ever go to the Kentucky Derby you will see lots of great hats. The small racetrack here has a couple of benefits where people get all dressed up including hats.
I've never seen this picture either. Where is it?
